an activity by an individual or group that aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social institutions.
ACTION
there are many ways to have your voice heard by elected officials and policy makers at the local, state and/or national level.
Before each Florida legislative session, the Legislative Advocacy action team coordinates interviews with the Broward County Legislative Delegation, which is composed of the state senators and representatives whose districts include all or part of Broward County. The interviews help the Florida League in their advocacy on League prorities with the entire legislature. The team continues to interact with the Delecation, capping the year with a summary of the legislative session.
The League of Women Voters is a grassroots organization and as such, we focus on the issues that our members care the most about.
