Water 101

Many of us have questions about water: Is it clean?  Do we have enough now and into the future? Who manages its distribution among the population, business, and the environment?

Water management here in South Florida is complex involving multiple governmental agencies and there are many threats - population growth, pollution and climate change.

On Wednesday, April 10 at 7 pm, Dr. Gregory Mount, Assistant Chief Resilience Officer of Broward County's Resilient Environment Department will present his engaging talk Broward Water 101 to help us understand the basics.

About our Speaker

 

Dr. Gregory Mount is the Assistant Chief Resilence Officer of Broward County.He is responsible for aiding in administration of  the resilience efforts of the organization with emphasis on project manatement, resilience planning and coordination between internal and external partners on mitigation and adaptation projects. Dr. Mount holds a PhD in Near Surface Hydrgeophysics and an MA degree in Archeology. all invloving research in the people and geology of the Everglades. His graduate and doctoral/post-doctoral work was completed at Florida Atlantic University.
